Love your client for longer
When a project comes to an end, agencies shouldn't just toss it 'over the wall' and move on. All too often, how the clients internal design teams or execution agencies understand and take ownership of the work isn't considered enough. You can't complain that the client's ruined your work if you didn't give them the tools to use it properly – or if the design system is too rigid or challenging for the real world.
Longer engagement should be factored into relationships more than it often is. Offer brand training workshops. Digital tools. Training packs. Intermittent brand guardianship and advice. Turn clients into collaborators and watch the brand strengthen, not dilute.
